Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead all process engineering activities across aluminum extrusion operations. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, yield, energy efficiency and cost through process optimization and technology implementations.

You will provide technical leadership for extrusion, anodizing, fabrication, finishing and material flow, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Commercial and Product Engineering to achieve

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aluminum extrusion or metals/process environment.
• Comfort leading or mentoring a team, even if formal people-management experience is growing.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools for process improvements.
• Knowledge of die technology, SPC/DOE, process capability & industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering across billet preheating, extrusion, anodizing, fabrication & finishing.
• Optimize extrusion parameters to boost productivity and quality.
• Drive OEE, throughput, recovery and first-pass yield using Lean & Six Sigma.
• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Partner with Product Engineering & Sales on new profiles, alloys and fabrication methods from concept to launch.
• Build, coach and grow a team of Process Engineers & Continuous Improvement Specialists.
• Champion MES, data acquisition and digital process monitoring.
• Collaborate with Quality to reduce scrap and warranty issues; use DMAIC, 5 Why, and other problem-solving methods.
• Own annual productivity, cost and energy goals; shape the plant engineering roadmap.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain & Commercial; represent process engineering voice with customers.
• Champion strong safety culture and ensure OSHA and environmental standards are met.
