Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a Process Control Manager at the Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility to lead the Process Control team responsible for safe, reliable operations through process automation, control systems, and optimization.

The role oversees engineers and technicians, guiding technical execution of control initiatives and fostering ongoing professional development to sustain high performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License is required upon hire.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and directs activities of engineers and technicians for regulatory process control and safety system automation needs.
• Provides technical leadership during normal, upset, and emergency operations and during turnarounds.
• Ensures adherence to process control policies and procedures and reviews controller design activities.
• Oversees MC/PLC upgrades, testing, and control project implementations.
• Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to mitigate risks of updates.
