Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Process Control Manager at the Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility to lead the Process Control team in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations through advanced control systems and process automation. The role requires at least an Associate's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus a valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred; prior refinery experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License is required upon hire.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and directs activities of engineers and technicians overseeing regulatory process control, advanced control optimization, and safety system automation needs of the refinery.
• Provides technical leadership during all refinery modes including normal, upset, turnaround, startup, and shutdown activities.
• Advises and directs engineers on monitoring health and performance of regulatory controls, APCs, and PLCs used for automation and emergency shutdowns.
• Directs resources in planning and execution of turnarounds, including controller loop checks, system upgrades, and testing.
• Communicates with leadership and stakeholders to align priorities and allocate resources.
