Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials seeks a Lead Process Automation Engineer to guide process automation and optimization initiatives across our facilities in Texas. You will lead projects from early development through startup, work with vendors and SIs, and drive advanced control strategies to improve throughput, yield, energy use, and cost.

You will oversee design documentation, field testing, and commissioning, while mentoring site engineers and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of process automation and controls experience in chemical manufacturing or hazardous facilities.
• Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, C300, Control Execution Environment, operator graphics, and Rockwell PLCs.
• Experience with Honeywell Profit Suite, Advanced Process Control, Real-Time Optimization, and sustained performance.
• Experience leading brownfield automation projects, control-system migrations, vendor execution, testing, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME for Honeywell Experion PKS, C300, Control Execution Environment, operator graphics, Rockwell PLCs.
• Lead process automation engineering for greenfield and brownfield projects from development through startup.
• Develop Basis of Design, estimates, technical scopes, execution plans, control narratives, and FDS.
• Review designs, configurations, test procedures, and deliverables; guide vendors and SI partners.
• Lead migrations, FAT/SAT, cutovers, commissioning, startup, and stabilization; address deficiencies.
• Mentor operators and siteProcess Control Engineers during design, testing, deployment, and performance reviews.
