Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Privacy Consultant to join the Privacy team and advance our privacy by design program across business and technology units.

You’ll facilitate PIAs and DPIAs, translate complex privacy requirements into actionable solutions, and collaborate with Technology, Legal, and product teams. This role offers opportunities to work on emerging technologies and a broad global privacy framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of privacy, data security and/or other relevant experience.
• Deep practical understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, and emerging international requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of enterprise privacy by design playbook.
• Facilitate PIAs and DPIAs across domestic and international activities.
• Manage assigned workstreams within privacy initiatives.
• Translate privacy requirements into practical operational outcomes.
• Identify and communicate privacy risks and remediation recommendations.
• Prepare clear deliverables including risk summaries and governance updates.
• Support privacy operations including RoPAs, notices, and training.
• Engage stakeholders across Technology, Product, Legal, Security, and business units.
