Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Privacy Consultant to join its Privacy team in a hybrid Philadelphia office. You will lead privacy by design initiatives, facilitate PIAs and DPIAs, and translate complex privacy requirements into practical solutions across global operations.

The role requires deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, and strong collaboration with Technology, Legal and business units. Applicants located near Transamerica offices are preferred, but remote candidates may also be

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of privacy, data security and/or other relevant experience.
• Deep practical understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) with ability to apply regulatory obligations in business/tech context.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce thorough, precise work products.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical, legal, and business audiences.
• Ability to manage assigned work independently in evolving environments.
• Collaborative working style across team priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of enterprise privacy by design playbook with guidance materials and translate privacy requirements into practical standards for business and technology teams.
• Facilitate and review PIAs and DPIAs across domestic and international activities, ensuring thorough, consistent assessments with actionable findings.
• Manage assigned workstreams, track tasks, dependencies, and deliverables and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Translate privacy requirements into practical operational and business outcomes.
• Identify, assess, and communicate privacy risks and remediation recommendations from PIAs, tech reviews, and vendor engagements.
• Prepare clear, structured deliverables including risk summaries, assessment reports, governance updates, and implementation recommendations.
• Support privacy operations activities including notices, RoPAs, training, data subject access requests, and framework maturity.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to gather information and drive timely execution.
