Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Privacy Consultant to join our Privacy team. You will partner with business and technology to drive privacy by design, facilitate PIAs and DPIAs, and turn complex privacy requirements into practical solutions.

This role offers exposure to emerging technologies and global operations, demanding clear communication, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration. Applicants near key offices are preferred, with remote options considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a business field or related experience.
• 8 years of privacy, data security, or related experience.
• Deep understanding of global privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, GLBA).
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented work product.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Transamerica's enterprise privacy by design playbook.
• Facilitate PIAs and DPIAs across domestic and international activities with clear findings.
• Manage workstreams, track tasks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Translate privacy requirements into practical operational outcomes for business and tech teams.
• Identify privacy risks and provide remediation recommendations from PIAs and AI use cases.
• Produce clear risk summaries, assessments, and governance updates.
• Support notices, RoPAs, training, and privacy risk control framework activities.
• Collaborate with Technology, Product, Legal, Security and business units for timely execution.
