Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold current DEA controlled substances registration.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete medical histories and examinations; orders tests; prescribes medications and renders treatments.
• Inspects and updates medical records; rounds on patients in infirmaries or regional facilities.
• Refers patients to specialists and provides after-hours and weekend care.
• Supervises physicians and mid-level practitioners; oversees unit's medical operations and compliance.
