Responsibilities

• Performs complete medical histories and physician examinations; orders diagnostic tests, interprets results, prescribes medications, and renders treatments.
• Manages medical records, classifications, admission/discharge notes, and rounds.
• Refers patients to specialists for consultations and treatments.
• Serves in rotation to provide after-hours and weekend patient care.
• May supervise physicians and mid-level practitioners and oversee unit operations.
