Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Machine Operator - Timson Printing Press Lead to supervise the press crew, maintain print quality, and ensure safe, efficient production on a rotating schedule. The role requires leadership, hands-on press experience, and strong attention to detail to meet color balance, setup, and make-ready timing.

Responsibilities include making ready, maintaining ink/water balance, coordinating maintenance, and training staff to support continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous press experience required.
• Ability to lead a crew and work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and meet deadlines.
• Able to obtain Type II Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the press operations and crew to ensure safe, quality and efficient production.
• Provide effective crew leadership and assign tasks to meet production goals.
• Work with maintenance to plan make-readies and downtime tasks.
• Order plates and ensure correct proofs for each job.
• Maintain accurate waste and production records in the system.
