Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a press operation assistant to support routine tasks on the printing press, including jogging signatures, stacking on skids, and ensuring quality checks. This role involves working with shift teams to maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced press environment.

You will train others as needed, maintain a clean and safe press area, and adhere to quality guidelines for products on the press. This position emphasizes teamwork and reliability on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate with other members of the staff.
• Basic skills in reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine press operation tasks (jog signatures, remove/replace skids).
• Take stacks off the end of a press and stack product on skids.
• Move logs and rolls as needed; adjust stacker using a touch screen.
• Train other personnel as instructed; keep press area safe and clean.
• Follow guidelines for quality inspection of product on press.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
