Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Principal RF Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and integration of high‑power RF systems for SPARC. You will work closely with senior engineers to shape system direction, select technologies, and ensure robust hardware performance under extreme conditions.

You’ll oversee instrumentation, control, and power electronics, while mentoring a team to deliver reliable RF platforms and practical diagnostics for continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Master’s or Ph.D. strongly for this level.

Responsabilidades

• Shape end-to-end RF plant architecture for SPARC, integrating RF sources, matching networks, and plasma load.
• Guide the integration of solid-state electronics and power supplies for massive RF systems.
• Design and implement instrumentation and control for RF signal detection and embedded controllers.
• Lead high-power delivery design including coax lines and dynamic impedance matching networks.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive the RF team’s capability on complex systems.
