Job summary

Gen seeks a Principal Product Designer, AI & Innovation, to lead end-to-end design for browser-based AI experiences and related apps. You will partner with product, engineering, and research to shape patterns and a unified design language across the portfolio.

You will own initiatives end-to-end at times and coach others to raise overall quality, coherence, and impact, ensuring human-centered, trustworthy AI interactions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product/UX design with shipped consumer web or software products.
• Experience with browsers, AI-powered, conversational, or agentic experiences is a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
• Ability to work within and evolve a mature design system across products and surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for high-impact initiatives across the AI & Innovation portfolio, from framing through launch and iteration.
• Design intuitive, trustworthy experiences for AI-powered browsers and agentic apps.
• Shape reusable design patterns and a shared design language across the portfolio.
• Bring clarity to ambiguous problems with prototypes and experiments.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and marketing to deliver production-ready experiences.
• Support launches with customer-facing touchpoints and cross-functional alignment.
• Use AI-assisted tools to increase design velocity and learn faster.
• Maintain consistency with Gen's design system while evolving patterns.
