Job summary

Jazwares, a leading global toy manufacturer based in Plantation, FL, is seeking a skilled Toy Designer for Preschool lines. You will lead the full design lifecycle, translating consumer insights into innovative, cost-conscious products while collaborating with brand teams, manufacturers, and licensors.

You will drive prototyping, testing, and production readiness, using Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed drawings and renders, and ensuring designs meet licensor guidelines and schedule

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience within the toy industry (hard goods/plastics/preschool).
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing vendors (Asia preferred).
• Deep understanding of cohesive systems of play and licensed brand style guides.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with capacity to create detailed control drawings and renderings.
• Strong communication and ability to pitch concepts to cross-functional teams and licensors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design lifecycle from concept to production for preschool toys.
• Create systems of play focusing on compatibility, articulation, and usability while controlling costs and QA/QC.
• Collaborate with brand management, engineering, packaging, and licensors to ensure alignment with brand and licensor guidelines.
• Pitch concepts to brand, development, and licensor teams and drive consensus and strategic goals.
• Document and update turnover specs, turns, sculpts, and paint masters for licensor approval.
• Coordinate with global manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure smooth transitions from concept to mass production.
