Job summary

Children's Land in Lincolnshire, IL seeks a Lead Teacher to foster a nurturing preschool environment and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons. You will partner with families to support each child's growth, maintain safe classroom practices, and contribute to a supportive teaching team.

The ideal candidate will design engaging activities, track milestones, and promote healthy routines while upholding high standards of education and care.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience working with preschool children.
• Mandated Reporter certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
• Monitor the children's developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
• Facilitate a structured daily routine that includes playtime, learning activities, and rest periods.
• Always ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and any concerns.
• Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
• Create and utilize educational materials to stimulate the children's senses and promote learning.
• Organize activities that encourage the children to explore their surroundings and develop their motor skills.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in early childhood education and care.
