Children's Land is seeking a Lead Teacher to nurture a vibrant, age-appropriate learning environment for toddlers in Glenview, IL. You will design engaging curricula and maintain progress records while collaborating with families and staff to support holistic development.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, mandated reporter certification, CPR/First Aid, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience with toddlers or young children.
• Mandated Reporter certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
• Monitor the children's developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
• Facilitate a structured daily routine that includes playtime, learning activities, and rest periods.
• Always ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and any concerns.
• Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
• Create and utilize educational materials to stimulate the children's senses and promote learning.
• Organize activities that encourage the children to explore their surroundings and develop their motor skills.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in early childhood education and care.
