Qualifications

• Requirement to hold a high school diploma or GED, CDA credential, and 1 year lead teacher experience in licensed childcare.
• Familiar with developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) and NAEYC standards.
• Must pass Level 2 background screening and meet Florida training requirements.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with co-teacher and staff daily.
• Mentor and train new staff as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to plan activities.
• Lead by example in the classroom and school.
• Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
• Be a team player and an engaged member of the teaching staff.
• Communicate with parents daily regarding progress and development.
• Maintain accreditation and state childcare standards.
• Uphold company vision and mission.
