Job summary

Vivvi, Inc. in New York City is seeking a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher/ECE to guide a 2-year-old classroom in a progressive, play-based setting. You will implement NYS early learning standards while fostering growth through emergent and creative curricula.

Relationship-building with families and ongoing progress assessment are essential. You will collaborate with a supportive team, maintain a safe classroom, and advance your career with mentoring, professional development, and certification

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of preschool teaching experience
• Licensed childcare center/ private preschool experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Familiarity with play-based learning, emergent/creative curricula, Teaching Strategies GOLD and SEL
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-year-old classroom in a licensed childcare center, implementing NYS-aligned curriculum
• Design experiences using play-based learning and SEL approaches
• Observe, assess, and track progress with Teaching Strategies GOLD
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with team to plan curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood education
• Guide routines, classroom management, and daily operations with care and professionalism
