Kinder Prep Montessori in Williamsburg is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom of children aged 2–3, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. You will partner with families and colleagues to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in an early childhood education center, or an associate degree with at least two years of experience.
• Experience planning and leading age-appropriate activities for 2–3 year olds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of 2–3 year-olds in a warm, safe, and nurturing manner.
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
• Establish consistent classroom routines to support independence and development.

Kinder Prep Montessori is seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our Williamsburg team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of children ages 2–3 and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports their social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a classroom of children ages 2–3 in a warm, safe, and nurturing manner
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
• Establish consistent classroom routines that support children's independence and development
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and learning
• Observe and document each child's progress and developmental milestones
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom
• Communicate professionally and thoughtfully with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and needs
• Collaborate with assistant teachers, administrators, and other members of the school team
• Follow all health, safety, licensing, and school policies

Compensation & Benefits:

• $50,000–$55,000 annually, depending on education and experience

Requirements:

• A minimum of 9 college credits toward an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and at least five years of experience working in an early childhood education center
• OR an associate degree in Early childhood Education and at least two years of experience working in an early childhood education center
• Experience planning and leading age-appropriate activities for young children
• Fluency in English
• Strong classroom-management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A professional and respectful approach to communicating with families
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Reliability, patience, warmth, and a genuine passion for early childhood education

Preferred:

• Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus
