Qualifications

• DHS qualifications required for Lead Educator in licensed center.
• Experience with young students in licensed early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to meet physical demands (standing/sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs).
• Willingness to undergo background checks and licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Proficiency with technology: MS Office, online lesson planning, daily reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Maintain positive classroom culture fostering belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Observe and assess development; tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
• Establish positive classroom culture; manage behavior effectively.
• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of classroom; maintain safe environment.
• Provide daily parent communication and collaborate with families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
