Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN is seeking a #2 Operator in Prepress to lead a mid-level crew on the Core Print Solutions team. You will review job specs, set up tasks, and monitor runs to ensure high-quality output.

The role requires reading and interpreting documents, Lean experience, strong communication across shifts, and training others. You will handle maintenance coordination and use computer-based workflows; background check and drug test may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven success as a trainer.
• Competence with rulers and measurement.
• Regularly lift and handle weights as required.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements.
• Performing or delegating set-up tasks.
• Monitor the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product.
• Performing moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipment.
• Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off.
• Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventive maintenance; involve Maintenance as needed.
• Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files.
• Work results are not typically checked by others.
