Job summary

Stagecoach Inn is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to lead the prep team, ensuring ingredients are prepared accurately and in a timely manner while coordinating with chefs to maintain dish quality and consistency.

You will mentor prep cooks, manage inventory with budget awareness, oversee safety and sanitation, and help shape a traditional Southern comfort menu with local, sustainable ingredients, working weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a prep or similar quality-driven kitchen environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of all ingredients (wash, chop, portion).
• Lead, train and mentor prep cooks to ensure efficient workflow and proper procedures.
• Monitor quality and freshness of ingredients; ensure proper storage.
• Assist inventory control and maintain stock to meet budgets; report shortages.
• Develop a traditional Southern comfort menu while incorporating modern techniques.
• Prioritize local, responsible, and cost-effective ingredients where possible.
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to align prep with daily needs.
• Identify and address issues; propose improvements for efficiency.
