Job summary

Flour Bakery+Cafe in Cambridgeport and Central Sq is seeking a full-time Lead Prep Cook to help oversee two locations. You will work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure efficient kitchen operations, support FOH, and lead the team in manager's absence.

The role offers growth into leadership and exposure to high-volume bakery operations. The position requires bake/cook experience, reliability, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 6 months baking experience or related experience and training
• Demonstrate passion for Flour and mission
• Eager to learn and open to feedback
• Committed to exceeding customer expectations
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to stand for long periods and handle kitchen tasks

Responsibilities

• Execute prep list for savory and pastry items as written by kitchen manager
• Support coworkers to ensure efficient prep
• Follow recipes and techniques in food preparation
• Lead teams in manager absence and assist FOH to fulfill orders timely and accurately
• Provide feedback and maintain sanitation and clean stations
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and equipment upkeep
• Plan catering and special orders with kitchen leadership
• Place vendor orders and manage daily tasks
