Job summary

CMC is seeking a Quality Control Technician to conduct pre- and post-pour inspections, ensure products meet ASTM and DOT specifications, and stamp products before shipment. You will maintain plant and personal certifications and perform daily tests to verify concrete quality.

The role leads a regional team of technicians, requires crane and forklift certifications, strong time management, and the ability to work in indoor/outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must maintain documentation and records relevant to inspections and certifications.
• Demonstrates strong time-management skills and ability to work independently.
• Crane and forklift certifications required or pursued.
• Adequate safety mindset to operate around moving equipment and hazards.
• Must hold required ACI and state DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document pre- and post-pour inspections of product.
• Ensure products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specifications.
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment.
• Maintain plant and personal certifications through ACI, NPCA, and DOTs.
• Perform daily tests to verify quality (cylinder breaks, pre/post pour, wire checks).
• Supervise and mentor a regional team of Quality Control Technicians.
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete per industry standards.
