Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Florida seeks a Quality Control Technician to conduct Pre/Post Pour inspections, verify ASTM/DOT specs, and stamp products before shipment.

You will maintain certifications, perform daily concrete tests, and mentor QC technicians across the region, ensuring safety and accuracy in every batch.

Qualifications

• Must keep and maintain all required documentation.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme heat.
• Work near moving machinery and equipment with potential electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product
• Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment
• Maintain all plant and personal certifications thru ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT's
• Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.)
• Supervise, lead and mentor a group of Quality Control Technicians throughout out the region
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard
