Job summary

Buildology is seeking a detail-focused Quality Control Technician for our Precast Division to ensure precast concrete products meet industry and customer standards. You will perform moisture and curing tests, document results, inspect finished items, and help maintain NPCA compliance.

Responsibilities include tracking cement usage, conducting cylinder break tests, pre- and post-pour QC checks, calibrating equipment, and supporting QC manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in precast or construction QC preferred.
• Familiarity with NPCA standards (will train).
• Strong attention to detail and record keeping.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, batch software).
• Willing to learn and operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform moisture and curing tank tests, log results.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure proper markings.
• Conduct and document cylinder break tests.
• Track cement usage and assist in ordering.
• Complete pre- and post-pour QC checks.
• Verify product details like mix, color, inserts, and finishes.
• Help maintain and calibrate QC equipment.
• Keep lab clean and organized.
• Assist with meetings, inventory, and QC manual updates.
• Learn to operate the batch plant as backup.
