Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to represent the owner/agency in inspections for DOT and PCI programs. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, accept or reject finished products, and supervise Level I inspectors on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Requires PCI Level II certification with at least 2 years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications preferred.
• Able to enforce specifications and review strength records and mix designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production.
• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence.
• Review batch tickets, mix designs, and strength records; accept or reject finished products.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
• Maintain QC records for PCI and DOT programs; travel between plants as needed.
