Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products.

You will maintain QC records for PCI and DOT programs and supervise Level I inspectors on a project basis. Valid PCI Level II certification with 2+ years in a certified plant is required; ACI lab certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification held, with 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Ability to enforce specs and review batch tickets and strength records.
• Must have valid driver''s license and be willing to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations and strength records.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products per spec and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
• Work on owner and agency assignments as outside inspector.
