Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or perform owner and agency inspections for DOT and structural programs. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and supervise Level I inspectors on active sites.

PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II with 2+ years in a certified plant is required; ACI strength testing certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified PCI Level II with 2+ years in a precast/prestressed plant.
• Familiar with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI strength testing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand cert, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products vs specs and shop drawings; supervise Level I inspectors.
