Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks an experienced Precast Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products while maintaining PCI/DOT records.

Level II certification is required, with supervision responsibilities for Level I inspectors. The role involves travel between plants for owner and agency inspections and leading a quality control

Qualifications

• PCI Level II Certification current with 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications for the state.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records; assess low breaks.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
