Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or to perform owner/agency inspection for DOT constraints. The role requires PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II, 2+ years in a certified plant, and the ability to supervise Level I inspectors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Current PCI Level II QC certification required.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specs.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI and DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
