Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a high-energy Pre-Assembly Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift. You will lead the pre-assembly team, coordinate with the Production Manager and Team Leads, and drive improvements in safety, quality and efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervision in a manufacturing environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supervising/leading people and processes in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work with various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, efficient problem solver.
• Familiarity with information systems and data analysis (MS Office, ERP/MRP).
• Active participation in safety policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Manufacturing and the Pre-Assembly Production Manager.
• Manage production schedules, staffing, duty assignments and inventory requirements.
• Recommend improvements to service, quality, safety and productivity goals.
• Apply standard work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Hold daily/weekly department meetings as workload requires.
• Coordinate updates with the Production Manager on weekly schedules and communicate safety/production/quality issues.
• Adjust manpower and overtime to meet changing conditions.
• Suggest plans to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality.
• Motivate workers to achieve goals.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Track time and attendance of personnel.
• Coach, counsel and discipline employees with HR and the Production Manager.
• Assess strengths/weaknesses and provide improvement recommendations.
• Maintain clean and organized spaces using 5S principles.
• Perform all other duties as needed.
