Job summary

Harbinger is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Powertrain in California to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of automated manufacturing equipment for EDU assembly and chassis integration.

You will drive high-precision powertrain processes, manage vendor relationships, and ensure safe, efficient line operations from concept through high-volume production. A strong background in motor/gearbox assembly and automated systems is required.

Qualifications

Experience in designing and implementing high-precision powertrain or drivetrain equipment and processes.
Strong knowledge of automation, servo control, torque control, and process control systems.
Proven track record leading multi-million dollar equipment projects in automotive/high-volume industries.

Responsibilities

Define long-term equipment strategy for EV powertrain lines and oversee development.
Lead full lifecycle of equipment from concept to ramp-up and continuous improvement.
Set up new powertrain lines including utility integration and automation cells.
Act as SME for high-precision manufacturing equipment and metrology systems.
Collaborate with design, quality, controls, and operations to ensure safe, compliant execution.
