Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company, seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Powertrain to lead automated manufacturing design and implementation for EDU assembly and chassis integration.

You will drive the scale-up from concept to high-volume production, applying expertise in motors, gearboxes, and automation, with focus on safety and quality, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years in advanced manufacturing engineering with 8+ years in high-precision EDU/drive-unit assembly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience with high-precision assembly, automated lines, and safety-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement long-term process and equipment strategy for EV powertrain lines.
• Lead complete equipment lifecycle from concept to high-volume production.
• Plan layouts, utilities, and automation cell integration for new lines.
• Serve as technical SME for powertrain equipment and automation systems.
• Drive DFA/DFM and optimize process capability (Cpk) in critical processes.
• Manage Tier 1 equipment suppliers and ensure on-time delivery.
• Use SPC/DOE/8D PFMEA to improve equipment performance and yield.
• Collaborate with design, quality, controls, and operations teams on safe, compliant execution.
