Job summary

Harbinger Motors in Garden Grove, CA seeks an EDU / Drive Unit Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of drive unit components throughout their life cycle. You will collaborate with suppliers, product designers, and production teams to establish and maintain quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering (powertrain or similar).
• ASQ certifications preferred (CQE, CQA, CQM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher).
• Familiarity with ISO-9001:2018 or IATF 16949.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EDU / Drive Unit quality performance metrics and identify high-impact issues.
• Lead root cause analysis with cross-functional teams using data-driven approach.
• Establish and maintain quality standards and inspection criteria.
• Drive corrective actions and verify effectiveness of actions.
• Develop quality gates, procedures, and supplier quality protocols.
• Support design reviews to mitigate manufacturing and assembly risks.
