Job summary

Cirrus is hiring an Aircraft Systems Engineer focused on Powerplant Systems for the SR and SF platforms and new projects. The engineer leads design, development, integration and certification with engine/prop manufacturers and with systems such as fuel, induction, exhaust, and engine controls.

You will coordinate with subcontractors and external suppliers, and work with NPIS teams to implement technology and ensure compliance with FAR Part 23/25/33.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in mechanical and parachute systems is desired.
• Direct management and leadership experience with teams of at least five people is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other aircraft engineering disciplines and across Cirrus product platforms and programs.
• Collaborate with NPIS projects to introduce new technologies.
• Lead propulsion system design development with a multi-disciplined team.
• Identify and coordinate with component and system suppliers.
• Contribute to development and certification under FAR Part 23, 25, or 33.
