Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks a Power Transmission & Distribution Engineer/Project Manager to lead electric transmission and distribution design from concept to completion.

You will manage inter-disciplinary teams, control project budgets, and foster strong client relationships in a growing consulting practice. You will guide planning through construction, perform routing, load flow, and substation studies, and contribute to business development and proposals.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent in engineering technology/construction management.
• 7+ years of power transmission & distribution experience in consulting or utility environments.
• 3+ years managing power industry projects.
• PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, CYME, PLS-CADD or similar tools.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEEE, NERC standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow client relationships; support business development.
• Serve as primary client contact; ensure alignment and quality delivery.
• Lead transmission, distribution and substation projects from planning through closeout.
• Provide leadership across multi-disciplinary teams (electrical, civil, survey, environmental, structural).
• Prepare and oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, risk management, and staffing.
• Develop drawings, specs, cost estimates; implement project controls and QA/QC.
