Job summary

Electric Power Systems, Inc. is expanding its team with an Electrical Engineer focused on protective relaying and power system analysis. The role supports projects in Anchorage, AK or Olympia, WA, offering design, studies, and field coordination with clients.

You will perform protection studies, develop relay configurations, and lead projects from kickoff to closeout while drafting detailed technical documents and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• 5+ years of experience in power system protection and control.
• Strong knowledge of protective relay theory and application (SEL, GE Multilin, etc.).
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain it within a reasonable time frame.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protection and coordination studies for transmission and distribution systems (5kV-230kV).
• Develop relay configuration files for substations and generation systems.
• Perform short circuit and arc flash hazard studies.
• Analyze event reports and test results; support field commissioning.
