Job summary

ICF seeks a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead a growing team focused on advanced power systems modeling and analytics for electric utilities. You will guide client engagements, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality, timely delivery from a remote work setup.

The role emphasizes leading projects, developing modeling capabilities in CAPE/PSSE/PSCAD, and implementing automation with Python/SQL/VBA to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering theories and principles including transmission/distribution modeling, short circuit & power flow, arc flash calculations, voltage imbalance studies, and thermo-ampacity ratings.
• 5+ years of experience working at an electric utility (investor-owned, municipal, or cooperative).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small, skilled team in power systems modeling and analytics for utility clients.
• Mentor and train engineers in power engineering theories and principles.
• Develop scopes of work, timelines, and budget estimates; interact with prospective clients to demonstrate expertise.
