Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Engineer, Behind-the-Meter Power Infrastructure to act as a client representative and technical validation lead for gas-to-power and behind-the-meter data center power projects. In this role, you will review end-to-end power solutions from gas supply and pipeline infrastructure through generation, BESS, substations, and final delivery to the data center load.

Qualifications

• Experience leading power infrastructure projects for data centers.
• Strong knowledge of gas supply, pipelines, and generation components.
• Ability to translate complex risks into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as AMD’s technical client representative for behind-the-meter power projects.
• Validate power chain from gas supply to data center delivery.
• Review engine, turbine, alternator, BESS, switchgear designs.
• Assess whether solutions meet load, redundancy, power quality and operation requirements.
• Review diagrams, permit matrices, equipment specs and project schedules.
• Identify permit gaps, risks, and commissioning issues.
• Prepare risk summaries and executive briefings.
