Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division seeks a Lead Controls Engineer for Power Electronics & Energy Storage in Moon Township, PA, with hybrid work schedule. You will develop and validate control systems for grid-tied inverters, DC/DC conversion, and battery energy storage, driving model-based design, HIL test benches, and automated validation across teams.

The role interfaces with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to translate requirements into robust control architectures and validation

Qualifications

• Demonstrated MATLAB/Simulink model-based design.
• Hands-on lab experience with power converters.
• Scripting in Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, tune, and validate control algorithms for grid-forming and grid-following inverters, DC/DC converters, and battery storage systems.
• Build and maintain Simulink/PSCAD models and implement Simulink-to-PSCAD controls.
• Design and operate hardware-in-the-loop test benches for controls validation ahead of hardware availability.
