Job summary

MaineHousing seeks a Portfolio Manager to supervise staff, manage workload, and ensure compliant portfolio oversight across multifamily assets. You will coordinate with the other Portfolio Manager, drive process improvements, and oversee regulatory reporting related to HUD and tax credit programs.

Education and six years of relevant experience are preferred; strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, plus experience with Prolink/HDS systems, are expected. This is a full-time on-site role in Maine.

Qualifications

• Education and six years of experience in affordable housing, multifamily real estate, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Direct supervisory experience and management of complex operational work preferred.
• Strong data management and reporting skills with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop staff with regular performance feedback.
• Plan workloads, monitor deadlines, and balance staffing coverage.
• Ensure quality checks and timely submission of work and reports.
• Coordinate system and process improvements with IT and other Portfolio Manager.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and certifications, including HUD and Tax Credit programs.
• Communicate procedures clearly and escalate cross-department issues to leadership.
