ST Engineering MRAS seeks a senior Principal Engineer – Polymer Materials to lead polymer science activities across development and production programs. You will guide synthesis, formulation, and testing of resins, adhesives, films, and composites, interfacing with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry with specialization in polymer materials and advanced systems.
• 8+ years in polymer synthesis, advanced composites, thermosets, nanocomposites.
• Experience leading end-to-end R&D translating material innovations to deployable components.
• Export control awareness and ability to work with regulated programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of polymer resin systems, adhesives, and composite formulations for advanced structures.
• Direct synthesis, modification, and formulation to meet structural and durability targets.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing-friendly processes for polymer materials.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and suppliers.
