Job summary
ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a Principle Engineer – Polymer Materials to act as a senior technical authority for polymer science, composite materials, and resin systems across development and production programs. The role includes leading synthesis, formulation, and qualification of polymer systems to meet performance, processing, durability, and regulatory requirements.
You will work with cross‑functional teams, drive material specifications, and shepherd efforts from lab research through
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry with specialization in polymer materials and high‑performance systems.
- 8+ years in polymer synthesis, composites, and thermoset chemistry.
- Experience with polymers and composites design and characterization.
- Export-controlled tech eligibility and U.S. Person status required for position.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of new polymer resin systems and composite formulations for advanced structures.
- Direct synthesis, modification, and formulation of polymer systems for performance and durability.
- Translate polymer behavior into manufacturable processes and support prototype builds.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet customer specs.
