Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conducts investigations, following established protocols, of home environments of children exhibiting symptoms.
  • Performs inspections using instruments to identify surfaces with lead paint.
  • Collects samples and delivers to laboratory for analysis.
  • Documents findings and photographs as necessary.
  • Follows procedures to ensure abatement of lead paint hazards.
  • Reinspects dwellings after repairs to ensure compliance.
  • Confers with owners regarding notices and violations.
  • Fosters cooperative relations with city and state agencies.
  • Records data and prepares reports and summaries.
  • Develops lead abatement plans coordinating with property owners and contractors.
