Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the foundation model pillar, an ML infrastructure layer that generates behavioral embeddings used by all risk models. You will define training strategies for transformer-based models handling transaction data and behavioral sequences, manage contracts between outputs and downstream consumers, and govern cascading changes across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements aligned with the shared product vision.
• Gathers customer insights to inform product requirements.
• Analyzes research, market analysis, and usability studies to support data-driven decisions.
• Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
• Leads sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution and interfaces with leadership as needed.
• Partners with data scientists, designers and researchers to identify new opportunities.
