Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience with platform reliability leadership.
• Production experience across Java, Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Strong automated testing and quality engineering background.
• Deep understanding of observability: logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring, and alerting.
• Experience designing reliability patterns for distributed systems.
• Ability to lead a small pod and manage contractor resources; active individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery for platform scale, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Ensure uptime, performance, resilience, and quality across services.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for unit to performance tests.
• Contribute production code and build reliability tooling and observability.
• Define logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and monitoring strategies.
• Define patterns for exception handling, fault tolerance, and recovery.
• Lead scalability initiatives to handle growth in membership activity.
• Define release readiness criteria and production handoff standards.
• Mentor engineers and contractors; uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with decisioning, orchestration, activation, platform, and data teams.
