Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Lead for Global Platform Engineering Solutions to manage Platform Engineers across the US and EU and coordinate with APAC leadership to ensure just-in-time Kraken app delivery, champion automation, and meet client requirements for networking, regulatory, and data safety.

You will drive technical delivery, mentor autonomous teams, set performance expectations, and collaborate with engineering, product, and pre-sales to align on strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Platform Engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Proven delivery of critical-path projects with a strong architectural focus.
• Ability to set objectives, manage priorities and drive results.
• Excellent written and spoken communication for asynchronous collaboration.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and client engagements.
• Proficiency with AWS and Kubernetes-based infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic objectives and team direction with APAC and global leadership.
• Line manage 7-10 Platform Engineers across the US and EU, and co-manage the global team.
• Coordinate with delivery management to ensure just-in-time Kraken app delivery.
• Champion automation and solve client requirements for networking and data safety.
• Provide production support for highly available distributed systems.
• Review code and provide architectural guidance and mentoring.
