Job summary

Array Corporation is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer (DevOps & Cloud Security) to guide cloud platform development and security posture. The role hands you end-to-end ownership across IAM, networking, provisioning, and reliability on AWS/Azure/GCP. You will drive secure access patterns, private networking, and automation while coordinating with engineering leads.

Based in Raleigh, NC, this hybrid, full-time position runs Monday through Friday and shapes platform standards for multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/platform/infrastructure engineering.
• 2+ years leading or setting standards for other engineers.
• Experience operating production cloud systems at scale on AWS/Azure/GCP, including on-call.
• Deep experience owning cloud security: IAM/RBAC, secrets management, network segmentation, audit-readiness.
• Comfortable working autonomously with clear judgment on decisions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD; some depth in C#/React.
• Experience integrating AI coding agents into real infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the initiative to normalize our infrastructure — consistent environments, access patterns, and conventions.
• Own the cloud platform end-to-end: identity and access, networking, environment provisioning, and production reliability across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Own cloud security proactively and independently — access scoping, credential hygiene, private networking, audit posture.
• Harden the infrastructure AI agents operate in — scoped/federated credentials, private network paths, monitoring for what agents touch.
• Set standards other engineering teams provision and operate against, and act as their escalation point.
• Make platform-wide architectural calls largely on your own judgment, then communicate the reasoning to engineering leads and PMs.
• Extend the engineering harness (CI/CD, agent tooling, automation) where it blocks other teams' delivery.

• Lead the initiative to normalize our infrastructure — consistent environments, access patterns, and conventions — so AI coding agents can operate reliably across the whole stack, not just in pockets
• Own the cloud platform end-to-end: identity and access, networking, environment provisioning, and production reliability across AWS/Azure/GCP
• Own cloud security proactively and independently — access scoping, credential hygiene, private networking, audit posture — as the de facto security authority for the company
• Harden the infrastructure AI agents operate in: scoped/federated credentials (e.g., OIDC over long-lived secrets), private network paths, monitoring for what agents touch
• Set standards other engineering teams provision and operate against, and act as their escalation point
• Make platform-wide architectural calls largely on your own judgment, then communicate the reasoning to engineering leads and PMs in terms they can act on
• Extend the engineering harness (CI/CD, agent tooling, automation) where it blocks other teams' delivery

Position Requirements

• 7+ years in DevOps/platform/infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years leading or setting standards for other engineers
• Engineering or coding degree
• Deep experience operating production cloud systems at scale on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including on-call
• Strong, independent track record owning cloud security: IAM/RBAC, secrets management, network segmentation, audit-readiness
• Comfortable working autonomously — no security team, no manager peer group, just clear judgment on what to decide alone vs. loop in others on
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD; enough depth in C#/React to support the teams building on them
• Practical experience integrating AI coding agents into real infrastructure — provisioning access, sandboxing, and where they currently fail
