Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering (i.e., DevOps, SysOps, SRE) experience with a proven track record of people and thought leadership
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native solution architectures and related platform support
• Technical lead for strategic projects with architectural guidance and alignment across teams
• Influence engineering standards and mentor less experienced team members
• Translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions
• Hands-on contribution to platform engineering solutions
• Automation strategies for cloud-native solutions (pipelines, IAC, test suites)
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience implementing IAC - Terraform preferred
• Experience using GitHub and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Developer enablement mindset across technology teams
• Experience with Vulnerability Management tooling integration with SDLC
• Experience using Gen AI tooling for software development
• Scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell

Responsibilities

• Function as SME in reliable, performant, robust, secure applications
• Serve as technical lead for initiatives and drive best practices
• Mentor and develop team members
• Design, document, create and maintain highly available systems
• Partner with teams to create flows, processes, automation, tooling
• Create environment of continuous experimentation
• Contribute to evolution of cloud-focused architecture
• Follow technology trends and recommend improvements
• Share knowledge to improve processes
• Provide tier 2/3 escalations
